28 Days To Go!

The Story: Morgan's Version

After swearing off dating apps, I texted a friend, Caitlin and asked if I should download it one more time. Caitlin told her to go for it, what was there to lose.

ONE day on the app I was ready to delete them for good. Swiping left on almost every candidate, I swiped right one last time- on a handsome man whose profile was the most genuine I had ever seen. Lucky for me it was a match. A few days of chats and numbers exchanged, we decided to meet up for dinner. That first date was one for the memory book. Not only did we laugh the entire night, we talked about dreams, goals, places we wanted to travel, and what scared us the most.

From that first night both of us knew we met our person. When people say "when you know, you know" they were exactly right. We spent the first month together planning our future and spending as much time as possible together. One night while talking about meeting each others parents, I suggested we take road trip to see Josh's parents. They live in Wyoming and there are three National Parks all within reach. So that is where our love of National Parks began.

If anything can test a relationship, let me tell you- sleeping in a tent, at the end of May while it still is snowing is definitely at the top of the list. But not only did we survive, we thrived. We fell in love with camping, exploring, and National Parks. That first trip we saw Yellowstone, The Tetons, and the Rocky Mountains.

There have been so many memories over the last year and a half it's hard to comprehend that we have forever to go. From moving in together, traveling to see families, getting our first dog Rocky and his best friend Teddy, concerts, and checking off National Parks one at a time.

The Proposal:

We had just boughten a camper and it was the first big trip. We headed to the Black Hills. We had a lot to see and only 4 days. We were excited to see Badlands National Park and Mount Rushmore-but the weather had different plans. It rained the entire trip. The first night while by the campfire, I could tell something was up. Josh was more nervous normal and pacing around. He went into the camper and of course my patience only lasted so long. I followed him in and he got down on one knee. It was perfect, just the two of us, doing what we have come to love.

We are excited to welcome you to one of our favorite national parks- The Rocky Mountains!

The Story: Josh's Version

I was never a strong believer in dating apps, but I had been working 6 to 7 days a week, needless to say I had no social life for a little over a year. Work was starting to get slower, and the guys at work were always trying to get me to be less shy and just go out and meet people. I had only been on like three or four dates my whole life and walked out of two of them. I was at work one day when I saw a like come through from a gorgeous little red head. No filters, no duck faces just a genuinely beautiful smile. We talked for three or four days and there wasn't anything it felt like we couldn't chat about through text. Of course, the day I asked her out I ended up working til almost 6 o'clock and it was still an hour and a half drive to meet her. I was so nervous to finally meet her while I drove, I listened to my favorite songs trying to think of anything to calm myself down. As I got closer to her places, I got a call, and it was Morgan. We were both so nervous, but we chatted like old friends for about 15 minutes before I got to her house. Thank goodness, my anxiety was gone. I pulled up to her house so excited to meet her I parked real quick got out and went to knock on the door, halfway up her walkway she pops out and says, "hey you think you could park like a normal person" to which I turn around and see my truck parked almost at a 45° angle to the sidewalk. Don't ask me why or what but in that moment, I knew I found something special someone who will authentically be herself no matter the situation. We went to a local Mexican restaurant and just couldn't stop talking, no phones just two people exploring a connection. Before I even made it the house on the way home we were talking on the phone again and she was inviting me over Easter. Easter was one of the best nights I had had in several years. She burnt the steaks and almost the house and we spent all night talking about our future goals and dreams and creating a poster Morgan titles "the Adventure List" which turned into a camper, two dogs, and over 12 national parks, not too bad for a year and a half. Plus, now we get to get married in our absolute favorite place- the Rocky Mountains.
